OUR CLIENT

We are delighted to represent one of the larger container transportation companies in Europe, offering a wide range of multimodal container logistics services. These include an extensive network of container services to and from various foreign locations, along with refrigerated cargo logistics and international forwarding around the world.  They are now seeking to add an Import/Export Coordinator for a fixed term 12 month contract.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE ... will handle import/export services and provide administrative, operational and customer service support, ensuring that the Company deliveries a reliable, high quality, value for money service to its clients.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Obtaining documentary proof from shippers of products
  • Arranging clearance paperwork & details
  • Working with overseas colleagues & partners
  • Preparing and handling cargo related documentation including packing lists, manifests, bills of lading and customs documentation
  • Complete import/export declarations as required via specialist IT systems
  • Arranging haulage collections and deliveries with shipping lines
  • Liaising with customers and haulage operators, addressing and resolving issues as they occur
  • Responding to telephone and e-mail enquires in a timely manner
  • Invoicing and month end reconciliation

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least GCSE (‘O’ level) standard including minimum grade C in Mathematics and English Language

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Strong and concise communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong grammatical and numerical skills
  • Fully competent with IT including Microsoft Office applications (Word / Excel / Power point / Outlook)

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience of Customs, Import & Export procedures and formalities is essential

**This is a 12 month contract to cover Maternity Leave.  Excellent salary dependent upon experience for the right candidate **
